A speech was given by Mr Jacobs, the headmaster explaining to us how much the children and staff appreciated our time and our interest in helping them. This was followed by the pupils singing, dancing and reading poetry to us which led to a few shedding a few tears.
We went to a Grade 7 class (which contained pupils aged between 12-14) to observe their learning which wasn't too exciting for us as it was just like sitting back in our English class at home. We then swapped into the other Grade 7 class where the atmosphere was totally different as they wanted to know about our lives at home and what Scotland was like. Some of the questions they asked were pretty impressive, asking about the poverty and religions in Scotland.
We then waved goodbye for the day and grabbed a McFlurry as we headed to the GCU project where some of us played football, danced and some even took part in a drama class which lead us to be animals that smoked - it was written by a little girl to try and reduce the amount of young people picking up smoking.
