Table Mountain

Friday 9th October

Today we went up Table Mountain and it was amazing. It was completely exhilarating,  a once-in-a-life time opportunity and it's fair to say we all enjoyed it massively. One short trip up the sloping cable wire in the cable car and we were on the highest natural abseil point in the world. It was an experience that would definitely be hard-pressed to surpass in term of the sheer magnitude of what we were doing.
The sights were breathtaking and the photos taken were genuinely postcard worthy.  This was the best selfie opportunity so far and we took full advantage of that whenever we could. Keep an eye out for our snazzy "bananarama"! (Terminology borrowed from Mr McGuckin)

Unfortunately today we were not able to abseil as we were absolutely shattered from our boating outing to Robben Island where we had a tour (more in Robben Island blog post), but we're looking forward to hopefully doing it another day!
To top off all of this, the weather was absolutely lovely- the sunniest day yet. Here's hoping for more to come.
