Third day at Welcome
On our third day at Welcome Primary, we (Gemma and Molly) were teaching for the second time and the kids were really excited to see us again. The first time we were teaching we taught the kids about William Wallace and Scottish history, but this time we decided to do some sports with them.
We got to teach Grade Two and when they found out they were getting to go outside and do sports with us they were really excited! First we had to get them into teams, so we asked them to run around the field and when we called out a number they had to get into a group with that number of people. As you can imagine it was quite chaotic! However, we got them into groups of 6 and then lined them up to do races.
We did lots of different types of team races with them, but their favourites were the wheelbarrow race and the piggyback race. After the races we gave them some time to play with hoola hoops and skipping ropes by themselves and they loved showing us what they could do.
We really enjoyed doing sports with the kids and we know for sure that they loved doing it too!
