Today, we went to Cape Point. We trekked up to the lighthouse situated at the top and saw fantastic views of where the Atlantic meets the Indian Ocean. The walk up was steep and we had to stop occasionally for group photos. There were lizards basking on the rocks and also a sign post, showing other major cities from around the world.
After some time of taking in the extraordinary scenery we walked back down and grabbed a bite to eat, which posed difficult due to swooping birds. Eventually we left and spent a short while at the beach before partaking on the many stairs to return to the buses.
We drove down to the most southerly western point of Africa and saw ostriches on the way. After a quick group photo we were on our way back for dinner.
